System modules
This system enables overall management of movement of fertilizers in the country and empowers all stake holders, especially
farmer/common man with real time information regarding availability. Broadly, FMS consists of 4 modules:
- Company Module
- Subsidy Payment Module including
- Freight Subsidy (for both controlled and decontrolled fertilizers)
- State Module
- Public Domain Module
Transactions
Following transactional details are captured on the system. These are entered by the companies on a regular basis and thus
the system always provides latest information to the Department of Fertilizers and State Governments at all points of time:
- Import of raw material / finished goods
- Custom clearances
- Receipts at plant
- Production
- Dispatches from Plant and Port and Returns
- Receipts
- Sales
- Warehouses details
- Wholesalers details
- Claim generation
Subsidy Claims & Freight Subsidy
Subsidy claims are approved at different levels in the department according to the set norms. Each approver
has to use his unique login ID in order to log on to the system, track pending claims and approve/disapprove them. FMS also
contains a system of triggering the mails at different stages of claims processing to the concerned officials at all stages
with the objective of keeping everyone involved informed on the progress.
Under the uniform Freight subsidy, all the Freight Claims are being generated and processed on FMS.
